Sweett Group also announces wins on a clutch of major projects for the university

The University of Birmingham has picked five consultants for its four-year QS framework - Sweett Group, Robinson Low Francis, Faithful & Gould, Turner & Townsend and Interserve Consulting.

The framework covers new-build, refurbishment and fit-out projects across the university鈥檚 portfolio of more than 200 buildings.

Sweett Group, which has been re-appointed to the QS framework, also announced it has won the cost consultancy role on the university鈥檚 planned Associated Architects-designed 16,000 sq m library (pictured) through the previous iteration of the framework.

The six-storey library will also contain a cafe and exhibition and events space; it will be designed to achieve a BREEAM 鈥榚xcellent鈥� rating.

Sweett is also working on the university鈥� High Temperature Research Facility and the University of Birmingham School, an 11-18 university training school.
