Appointment the third made by consulant this year
Aecom has promoted the managing director of its environment and ground engineering business to its UK board.
Filings made at Companies House show Craig Edwards, who has been with the business nearly 17 years, was made a director last week. It is the firm鈥檚 third appointment to its UK board this year.
The 46-year-old joined as an associate director in September 2004 and last September was made managing director of its environment and ground engineering business.
In February, Aecom appointed Patricia Ribeiro-Carvalho-Vieira as a director to its UK board after her finance role at the firm was widened.
And Colin Wood, who replaced David Barwell as chief executive last August, was also appointed a director at the same time as Ribeiro-Carvalho-Vieira.
In its latest accounts, Aecom said the cost of paring back its UK business meant pre-tax profit more than halved last year.
The firm, which took the axe to 500 jobs last summer, said pre-tax profit in the year to October slumped from 拢12.4m to just over 拢6m during the period. Turnover was up 10% to 拢481m with 拢423m coming from the UK.
