It will provide project and cost management services at the Harwell Campus
Aecom has been appointed on the 拢130m science and technology build programme at the Harwell Campus in Oxfordshire.
The infrastructure firm will provide project management, cost management, programme and supervisor services on the Science and Technology Facilities Council鈥檚 scheme.
This includes the new government-funded Rosalind Franklin Institute building. Work on this will begin in October 2018 and when complete in April 2020, will measure 5,800 m2.
It will be a national centre of excellence in technology development and innovation where scientists and engineers will collaborate to improve understanding of disease and enable faster discovery of new treatments.
The building programme will also deliver the expansion of the existing National Satellite Testing Facility. Work on this will begin next August and when complete in April 2020, will measure 11,600 m2.
