This week鈥檚 #buildingdoodle sketch is by Martin Douglas, director at Pad Design. He says: 鈥淭his shows the Cumberland Basin, part of the Hotwells area at the western end of Bristol鈥檚 floating harbour, where a complicated highway network was constructed in the 1960s.

鈥漈oday, the public realm is little used; however, Bristol鈥檚 mayor Marvin Rees has recently been promoting a vision to rebrand the area the 鈥榃estern Harbour鈥�, which would rework the traffic system and free land for up to 1,200 homes, as well as commercial and leisure uses鈥�.
