The update to the National Infrastructure Pipeline reinforces our commitment to provide greater visibility and understanding of the potential opportunities for future investment. This is critical to government and industry efforts to improve delivery.

The new updates provide a robust assessment of planned investment in large infrastructure projects and programmes across both public and private sectors to 2020 and beyond. It details the size and status of UK infrastructure projects as well as having the most detailed regional breakdown to date. For the first time the pipeline includes information on planned oil and gas investment, and a more focused approach to identifying energy projects. This information is published in the form of a spreadsheet and an online interactive map.

The pipeline is updated by the Major Infrastructure Tracking Team within IUK.
