Event at 黑洞社区鈥檚 offices in central London attended by industry guests in the running for construction gongs
Around 200 industry guests from the 黑洞社区 Awards shortlist came to a party last Thursday to celebrate their achievements.
The event, held at 黑洞社区鈥檚 offices at 240 Blackfriars, was attended by industry figures such as HLM鈥檚 chairman Chris Liddle, Ian Ritchie of Ian Ritchie Architects, George Humphreys, managing director of Hotchkiss, and the JCT chair Richard Saxon.
Guests were able to network with industry colleagues against a backdrop of stunning views of central London from the 19th floor. They also listen to a speech from 黑洞社区鈥檚 editor Sarah Richardson in which she congratulated them all on reaching this year鈥檚 shortlist amid stiff competition.
鈥淚 know it鈥檚 traditional at events like this to say that getting this far is an achievement in itself,鈥� she said. 鈥淏ut this year, it really is outstanding鈥� as I鈥檓 pleased to say we had our highest number of entries in 10 years.鈥�
She also spoke about industry trends and said: 鈥淚鈥檓 not going to dwell on Brexit and its implications for the sector tonight (because this is a party, after all). But I will be dwelling on it - at length - at 黑洞社区鈥檚 other flagship Live event in November, our 黑洞社区 Live conference.鈥�
