Consultant will design services on final phase of Michael Smith 黑洞社区 at University of Manchester.

The Manchester office of White Young Green, consultant to the built, natural and social environment, is providing design services on the fifth phase of a 拢45m development project at the University of Manchester.

The six strong team is working on final phase of the Michael Smith 黑洞社区, an international quality life science complex providing facilities for world class scientists. It is part of the development of a new campus at Manchester University which is being undertaken due to the expanding post graduate research requirements of the University.

Adjacent to the existing Bio Sciences 黑洞社区, the Michael Smith 黑洞社区 will house specialist and generic laboratories incorporating 2900m虏 of bioscience research areas as well as 1400m虏 of shelled space for future fit out.

The consultancy has been involved on the project as a whole from inception in 1999 and its role will continue through to completion in 2007. Gwyn Jones, Regional Director for WYG鈥檚 Manchester office said:
