Work set to start later this summer
Willmott Dixon has nabbed a £20m contract to deliver 147 homes in Manchester.
The company’s residential arm will deliver the project, which will makeover a nine acre site on Simonsway, Wythenshawe.
The site is adjacent to the Manchester Enterprise Academy where Willmott Dixon built the Drury ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø in 2017 to provide more space at the academy.
Designed by architect AEW, these new homes will include a mixed tenure of 80 shared ownership, 29 outright sales and 38 rent to buy apartments.
Construction is set to start in July, with the development providing a mix of two- and three-bedroom houses, alongside two-bedroom apartments.
The contract win follows the recent completion of Willmott Dixon’s mixed-use development in Old Trafford.
It includes a community centre, cafe, pharmacy, health care facilities and 80 extra-care apartments.
