Firm appoints new COO and target more work in North
Sisk is continuing a rejig of its business after Paul Brown took over from Steve Bowcott as chief executive at the start of the year.
Bowcott, a former chief operating officer at Kier and who also worked at Amec’s construction boss, left after six years in the post.
The rejig sees Ajaz Shafi take the reigns as COO of Sisk’s UK business while construction board director Mark McGreevy has been appointed to the new role of chief commercial officer.
Brown said under Shafi’s leadership the firm would look to expand its construction and civils presence in sectors such as data centres and life sciences and to grow its regional presence in the North, North East and Home Counties.
Shafi joined Sisk in 2013, initially managing the company’s UAE division before taking up the position as managing director for the UK South business. McGreevy has been at Sisk for more than 25 years.
