Development includes 826 apartments, industrial space and a wharf
Regal London has submitted a planning application for a mixed-use development at Orchard Wharf in London’s Docklands.
Orchard Wharf has been vacant for nearly 30 years, with the proposals planning to create a mixed-use development that includes 826 apartments, industrial space and a wharf.
JTP is lead architect on the project, while the design team also includes Aukett Swanke and Spacehub.
The vacant safeguarded wharf will be turned into a logistics port made up of new river infrastructure, more than 8,200 sq m of warehouse space and offices and 135 sq m of fcommercial space.
The project also includes a total of 6,750 sq m of new public realm and includes a potential new pedestrian route connecting Orchard Wharf with East India Dock Basin.
The site is close to Canning Town and East India stations, giving access to both the City and Canary Wharf.
