Bam鈥檚 UK civils arm gets new boss

The civils arm of Bam in the UK has restructured its top team with Bam Nuttall鈥檚 current boss Adrian Savory leaving at the end of this month after just 16 months in charge.

Savory took over last May from company veteran Steve Fox who spent a decade as chief executive, having joined the firm in 1989.

Nuttall saw revenue top 拢800m last year

Savory, himself a long-server at the business, joining it in 1995, will be replaced as interim managing director by Ian Parrish who joined Nuttall last year as the boss of its major projects arm.

Parish has spent more than three decades at Bam across three separate stints, his most recent working for Bam Ferrovial, the tie-up between Nuttall and the Spanish contractor to bid and work on high-profile schemes such as Crossrail and HS2.

In its last set of results, Bam Nuttall saw revenue jump 11% to 鈧974m (拢830m) thanks to more work on HS2, where it is working with a Kier team on the railway in the Chilterns and Warwickshire, and Highways England鈥檚 smart motorways initiative. But profit slipped by nearly half from 鈧23m (拢20m) to 鈧12.3m (拢10.5m).
