Government pledges 拢93m for training in selected sectors, including housing and FM
The UK government has announced a three-year agreement with employers to deliver more skilled workers in selected sectors, including housing and facilities management.
More than 拢93m will be earmarked from the government's training budget to tackle skills shortages within these key sectors, which also include fashion and textiles.
Of the total funding, 拢69m will be allocated to the property, housing, cleaning and facilities management sectors.
The announcement by skills minister Lord Young is part of a radical shake-up of the skills and training system, begun by ministers to tackle existing and forecast skills shortages.
