Devon company Mead General 黑洞社区 is heading for a High Court showdown with housebuilder Dartmoor Properties over a 拢1.6m project in Okehampton near Exeter. Mead carried out substantial work on the scheme over a long period, but argues that housebuilder Dartmoor Properties has not paid in full. An adjudicator was called in after a dispute arose between the two companies, and he ordered Tiverton-based Dartmoor to pay 拢332,026.64, as well as interest amounting to 拢6.345, and a contribution towards his fees. Despite his decision, Dartmoor Properties has failed to pay a penny in satisfaction of his award, according to a High Court writ. Now Mead, of High Street, Credition, has turned to the High Court in London where it is seeking enforcement of the adjudication and payment of the money, with interest running at 拢66.68 a day, as well as 拢7,950 plus VAT towards the adjudication fees.
