Morgan Sindall carrying out first phase of work in Hackney
Hackney council has launched a search for a contractor to develop the second phase of its £385m Britannia mixed-use scheme.
Morgan Sindall is building the first phase of the job for the east London authority, which includes a leisure centre, secondary school and a new public square.
Feilden Clegg Bradley has masterplanned the overall scheme, while FaulknerBrowns architects designed the leisure facility.
Worth £35m, the second phase of the project will involve building 93 new homes for social rent, shared ownership and private sale apartments.
Hackney plans to build 481 homes on the development, 81 of which will be affordable.
Firms have until 6 December to express interest in the job which will last two years.
