On the final day of the conference, talk is of commitment and infrastructure
It's the final day at Cityscape Abu Dhabi 2010 and the lasting message is one of commitment to the future vision, economic growth and sustainable development of Abu Dhabi. The challenge is now to get confidence and liquidity back in the market and to attract investors to ensure continuation and progression towards the vision.
With sectors such as infrastructure development being seen as key to position Abu Dhabi on the global map and with the 2030 plan being implemented on a structured phased approach, further projects may begin to emerge alongside stations and rail corridors which are part of the surface transportation plan.
The key challenge now for the developers of the projects showcased over the last four days will be to assess the best time to buy construction to get organised so that they are prepared to respond when market recovery starts to take shape.
