More than half of those in the industry believe benefits of using BIM are more hype than substance

More than half of those in the industry believe that the benefits of using BIM are more hype than substance at the current time, according to a poll of more than 150 黑洞社区 readers.

Of those who expressed a preference, 55% said the benefits of BIM were over-hyped, while the remainder said the benefits were real and substantial.

While those survey respondents with actual experience using BIM were more favourable to the technology, 45% still said the benefits were over-hyped.

The survey found that more than half of respondents have experience of using BIM.
