Scheme covers work in Midlands

The Balfour Beatty Vinci team working on HS2 in the Midlands is looking for a contractor to put up five MEP buildings for the two tunnels the joint venture is constructing in the area.

The winner will be asked to work on design development and may be required to procure and manage the installation of the MEP required for the buildings.

The Long Itchington tunnel is being built in Warwickshire

The contract, which is worth up to 拢30m, would run for seven months from the end of February next year.

Balfour Beatty Vinci is building the largest section of the phase one route of the high speed rail project, covering roughly 90km from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and from there onto Handsacre in Staffordshire.

The contract is suitable for SMEs but the JV has asked that firms 鈥渁ssess their internal capabilities to be able to carry out the intended scope of the work鈥 before completing an expression of interest, which they have until 4 September to do.
