Contractor sells South Manchester PFI healthcare scheme to the Secondary Market Infrastructure Fund for 拢7.6m.
Contractor Alfred McAlpine today said it had sold its stake in the South Manchester PFI healthcare scheme for 拢7.6m.
Alfred McAlpine sold the stake to the Secondary Market Infrastructure Fund and made a profit of 拢4.3m.
Chief executive Ian Grice said: 鈥淭he current appetite for secondary equity has given us the opportunity to realise our investment and the proceeds will now be reinvested in new projects.鈥
Following the South Manchester disposal, Alfred McAlpine has 拢22m invested in PFI schemes. Nine of its PFI projects have reached financial close, of which six are operational.
