Trox has installed active chilled beams in the new headquarters building for Three Valleys Water, built on the site of the De Havilland aircraft factory.
The chilled beams were specified by Kier ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø Services Engineers, who designed the M&E for the project.
The active chilled beams are installed flush with the ceiling and include a fresh air duct to induce secondary air via nozzles over the cooling coils.
The company claims the energy credentials of this type of system are very high, and with no moving parts, filters, drip trays and associated pipework, the beams are virtually maintenance free.
