Firm has secured over 拢100m of health sector jobs since July

Willmott Dixon has secured over 拢100m in health sector work since July, after being appointed to a 拢14.1m contract to deliver a health centre and primary school.

The company鈥檚 Cobham office will build the combined facility in Surbiton under a LIFT arrangement for South West London Health Partnerships following collaboration between NHS Kingston and the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames.

The development will provide GP services from four local practices, including an urgent care centre , diagnostics (blood tests, ultrasound and X-rays), minor operations, therapies and outpatients, and a two-form entry school called Lime Tree Primary.

Construction work will start this month at the former Surbiton Hospital site. The two buildings will share a community hub, which will provide public assistance and facilities.

Lime Tree Primary School will open in September 2012, offering 60 new reception places and 26 part-time nursery places. The health centre will follow in early 2013. 

Low carbon features include a large PV array and car charging points for the health centre, and a green roof for the school.  

The project is the largest mixed-use regeneration scheme in the borough. Willmott Dixon is delivering five existing school projects in Kingston under the Primary Expansion Programme, which will help the firm drive economies of scale.
