Concealed wet floor shower tray manufacturer On The Level has introduced a system for creating wetroom floors using larger tile formats

The Linear Drainage system can be used with marble, limestone or large-scale tiles. Unlike conventional wet floors with smaller square drains, the linear design means the tile does not have to be mitred to achieve the required fall to the drain. There are also fewer grout lines, which makes the floor quicker to install and clean.

The firm has collaborated with drainage specialist McAlpine to offer a total floor system, including former, drain and grate, as well as ancillaries such as a tanking kit to create a wetroom.

At the heart of the system is the firm’s underfloor former made from 24mm birch plywood, which is available in 18 sizes, from 900mm x 900mm up to 1,200mm x 2,400mm.

Suitable for all floor types, including timber floorboards, the formers are produced with precision falls towards the linear drainage channel.

There is a choice of five drainage systems to suit the tray size and shower flow rate. Six grating designs can be supplied in five lengths made from polished stainless steel.
