Kingspan Insulation’s Thermawall was specified for a Victorian terraced house in London
Kingspan Insulation’s Thermawall TW55 has been specified to help a Victorian three-storey terraced house in Holland Park, London achieve Passivhaus standards. A layer of Kingspan Thermawall TW55 insulation was installed on each side of an OSB air-barrier for the external walls. Thicknesses of 150mm and 50mm were used, and with the 12mm OSB layer, a U-value of 0.1 W/m2K was achieved. The firm claims the product has a thermal conductivity as low as 0.022 W/m2K, allowing thin layers of insulation to deliver low U-values.
