Renson Sunprotection Screens has introduced Fixscreen, an external screening device for controlling light and thermal gains into both domestic and commercial properties

The screens use side guides to hold the device in place, preventing distortion when exposed to heavy winds and minimising rattling and potential ripping. It is supplied with a bottom rail made from extruded aluminium with a rubber seal that makes it insect-proof when closed, claims the company.

The standard screens are woven from glass fibre threads that have a PVC coating. They retain their shape, are unaffected by humidity and heat, and are rot-free and colourfast, claims the company. The screens are available in three sizes: Fixscreen 85 for most standard windows and in renovation projects; Fixscreen 100 for glazing up to 4m wide and 2.7m high or 3m wide and 3.5m high; and Fixscreen 150, which will cope with glazed areas up to 6m wide and 3m high or vice versa.
