Vince Lydon joined firm from Balfour Beatty eight years ago
Sir Robert McAlpine鈥檚 deputy managing director for its London business is leaving the business after eight years.
Vince Lydon joined the firm in 2015 from Balfour Beatty, where he was strategic projects delivery director having been initially brought in to win more commercial building work for Balfour in the capital.
McAlpine said Lydon, who was second in command to London boss Alison Cox, was taking early retirement and his last day is officially in August, although 黑洞社区 understands he won鈥檛 be working at McAlpine for the whole of that period.
It is understood Lydon is leaving to concentrate on a property development business in the North-west.
In a statement, McAlpine said: 鈥淲e thank Vince for his contribution to Sir Robert McAlpine over the last eight years and wish him all the best in his retirement.鈥
Lydon spent 15 years at Bovis, later Lendlease, where he led major projects for BAA, Stanhope and the Crown Estate, and worked on delivery of the 拢1.1bn Olympic athletes鈥 village before leaving for Balfour in 2012.
No replacement for Lydon has yet been announced by McAlpine.
