Exclusive: Sir Robert McAlpine and Bam Construction set to fight it out for 拢64m batch of priority schools in the North-east
Sir Robert McAlpine and Bam Construction have been invited to tender for a 拢64m batch of priority schools in the North-east, which form the second batch to come to market through the 拢400m directly-funded part of the Priority School 黑洞社区 Programme (PSBP).
The batch, worth between 拢60-64m, comprises nine schools in the North-east of England and consists of four primary, three secondary and two special schools.
It follows 黑洞社区 revealing earlier this week for the first 拢36m batch of schools in Coventry.
The contractors were chosen from the EFA鈥檚 contractor鈥檚 framework for the North and Midlands region, which includes big names such as Balfour Beatty, Carillion, Vinci, Kier and Willmott Dixon.
The EFA held a bidder鈥檚 day for the schools last month.
