French contractor reports half year revenue of 拢3.3bn in construction division as order books hit 拢7.4bn
Construction giant Vinci has revealed a 16.4% increase in consolidated revenue during the first half of this year, compared to the same period in 2005. Half-year revenue came in at 拢7.89bn.
The French contractor said this figure includes 拢548m in revenue from Autoroutes de la Sud and ASCOT, which Vinci took control of in March. Excluding the impact of this consolidation, revenue grew by 8.3%.
Overall, Vinci Construction鈥檚 revenue rose to 拢3.3bn, an increase of 7.2%
Outside France, Vinci Construction recorded a 9.4% increase in revenue to 拢1.4bn for the half year. This increase came mostly from central European locations. The company also reported strong momentum in major projects and in dredging, particularly in the Middle East.
Vinci Construction鈥檚 order book at the end of June stood at 拢7.4bn, up by 18% over 12 months.
Vinci has predicted it will exceed its 拢16.9m revenue forecast for the year as a whole.
The company will publish its half-year financial statement in September.
