The pyramid at the recent Cannes Film Festival contains seven screens for specialist film screening

Pyramid at Cannes designed by architect OMA for Kanye West

Architect OMA has released an image of its temporary seven screen cinema pavilion which was erected at the Cannes film festival specifically for the screening of rapper Kanye West鈥檚 debut short film.

After entering the pyramid via a red carpet, cinema goers in the 200 seat auditorium are surrounded by seven screens.

OMA worked with Cannes-based production team Ar鈥橲cene to optimize the triangular design for the complex sound and projection equipment.

The film, entitled Cruel Summer, 鈥渨as envisioned for this space as a constellation of projections that wrap around the audience through the configuration of the screens鈥� according to the firm鈥檚 press release.
