Preliminary results show revenue at support services group up 3%
Support services firm May Gurney won 拢1.1bn of work over the last year, boosting its revenue 3%.
In its preliminary results for the year up to March 31 2010, the firm recorded a turnover of 拢483.1m (2009: 拢470.3m).
Pre-tax profit was up by 7%, from 拢20.2m in 2009 to 拢21.6m in 2010.
Philip Fellowes-Prynne, the firm鈥檚 chief executive, said: 鈥淭he essential nature of what we do and our collaborative approach to delivering a wide range of integrated front-line services has resulted in more than 拢1.1 billion in renewals, contract extensions and new business this year, all under long-term contracts, and their successful mobilisation will be a key focus in the coming year.鈥
Recent wins include a deal with Torbay Council to provide maintenance and eight AMP5 water deal wins or renewals.
