Architect Make is part of a team of architects working on designs for an extensive residential development by the River Thames in Chelsea, west London.
Ken Shuttleworth’s firm is working with other architects to draw up designs for Grosvenor Waterside near the north side of Chelsea bridge.
When complete, the development’s 600 flats are likely to be some of the most sought-after residences in London, as it will lie close to the exclusive Sloane Square and the King’s Road.
The masterplan, drawn up by architect Sheppard Robson, gained outline planning consent two weeks ago.
It comprises seven steel and glass buildings set around the Grosvenor Dock, which has recently been renovated.
Two of these buildings have been completed, and put on the market with prices starting at £365,000 and rising to £1.75m. So far, more than 180 off-plan homes have been sold for prices of up to £500,000.
Make is working on ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø C, a residential block consisting of 150 flats.
Other architects involved are Finlay Harper, Twigg Brown and Amos Partnership.
The developer, St James Homes, envisages that the work will take five years to complete.
- A decision on the competition to design the International Pool Centre, a mixed-use development in Leeds that Make is competing for, will not be made until the new year.
