Contract could run for decade

Firms have been put on notice for more than 拢50m worth of maintenance and reactive repair work for two health bodies in Kent. 

Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT) and Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a contractor to carry out jobs including preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and minor works.

The job for the Kent NHS trust begins next summer

The contract 鈥 worth a total 拢51.25m 鈥 will begin next July and run for an initial five years and three months until the end of September 2028, with an option for an extension of up to five years. 

It is not suitable for SMEs and the chosen partner will enter into two separate contracts for each trust, with KMPT acting as the lead authority. 

Firms have until 13 January to bid.
