Chef hopes to involve other celebrity cooks in lottery-funded national venture
Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is planning to create a national food museum that is 鈥渉alf the size of the Millennium Dome鈥.
According to reports, Oliver will bid for lottery funding to build the venture, which he hopes will open within the next 10 years. He said he would like other famous chefs including Gordon Ramsey to be involved in the project.
If the UK museum goes ahead, it will follow other museums abroad that are dedicated to food. These include the Agropolis museum in Montpellier, France, and the NY Food Museum in New York.
Oliver, 32, has already opened a chain of restaurants, known as Fifteen.
