Development will include hotel along with office space
A 拢25m mixed-use development in south-west London has been given the green light by local planners.
The 10-storey building on Putney High Street was given unanimous approval by Wandsworth council鈥檚 planning committee late last week.
Designed by Guildford practice, Wamm, the scheme will consist of a 197-bedroom hotel, 760sq m of retail space and 430sq m of office space.
Approval was granted subject to a section 106 agreement, though it is not expected to be referred to the Greater London Authority for final sign-off.
The site has been identified in the council鈥檚 local plan as one of the parts of Putney most in need of regeneration.
A neighbouring scheme drawn up by Grimshaw is currently being considered for approval, with plans to link the two schemes via an internal public courtyard.
Grimshaw鈥檚 10-storey scheme, which has been designed alongside structural engineer AKT II and building services and fire engineer Sweco, will provide 123 homes,1,200sq m of retail space and 1,500sq m of commercial space built if approved.
