Architect Waugh Thistleton designs temporary pavilion at Lancaster House for Olympic business summit
Architect Waugh Thistleton has unveiled designs for a temporary pavilion on the grounds of Lancaster House that will play host to the UK Trade & Investment’s international business legacy programme during the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Contractor Insulshell has been appointed to build the pavilion, which is raised above the terrace to the internal floor height of Lancaster House.
The pavilion will host 18 global business summits over six weeks .The programme, which will start on the eve of the Olympic Games, is part of a series of initiatives expected to generate over £1bn in trade and investment for the UK.
