Retailer plans improvement programme to boost sales following successful Midlands trial
Electrical retailer Currys has announced plans to revamp up to 50 superstores in the UK.
Owner DSG International said it would revamp 90-120 stores in the UK and Scandinavia, following a successful trial in Birmingham where profits grew by 50% after an improvement plan.
It said there was scope for between 20 and 50 shops on the scale of its Midlands-based mega-store in the UK.
The news will be welcomed by construction firms working in the retail sector, after other high-profile shops such as Marks & Spencer announced plans to close stores.
