Crossrail has awarded 17 construction firms places on its enabling works framework.

The framework applies to both the outer and the inner sections of the project. Firms will be able to bid for packages of work on Crossrail. It is divided into site facilities, demolition, civil structures and utilities.

The firms include:

- Balfour Beatty (Civils)

- Bam Nuttall (Site facilities, Demolition)

- Brown & Mason (Demolition)

- Carillion Civils Engineering (Civils)

- Clancy Docwra (Utilities)

- Costain/Skanska Construction joint venture (Civils, Utilities)

- Fitzpatrick Contractors (Site facilities)

- J Murphy and Sons (Civils, Utilities)

- John F Hunt Demolition (Demolition)

- Keltbray (Demolition)

- Kier Construction (Demolition, Civils)

- Laing O鈥橰ourke Construction (Demolition, Civils, Utilities)

- McGee Group (Demolition)

- McNicholas (Utilities)

- Morgan Est (Civils, Utilities)

- PJ Carey (Demolition)

- Select Plant Hire (Site facilities)

David Anderson, Crossrail鈥檚 engineering director, said: 鈥淭he delivery of Crossrail is moving ahead at speed. Following the appointment of the programme partner and selection of the project delivery partner we are now able to confirm which companies have been short-listed to tender for the next phase of enabling works contracts required across the Crossrail route.

Enabling works for the 拢16.9bn cross-London project are currently taking place at Tottenham Court Road and the Isle of Dogs.
