Contractor's share of revenues on new contracts in Dubai and Oman will be 拢113m
Carillion has secured new contracts worth around 拢113m to it through joint ventures in the Middle East.
Two of its joint ventures have negotiated three new contracts in the Middle East, worth around 拢205m, of which Carillion's share of the revenue will be some 拢113m.
In Dubai, Al Futtaim Carillion has agreed a 拢125m contract to build two residential towers alongside other retail facilities for Emaar Properties at its Burj Dubai development.
It has also been awarded a 拢60m contract for the first phase of the Al Badia business park at Dubai Festival City.
In Oman, Carillion Alawi has secured a 拢20m contract to build the next phase of infrastructure facilities for the Asian Beach Games, for the Oman Tourism Development Company.
John McDonough, chief executive of Carillion, said: 鈥淭hese latest contracts keep us firmly on track to achieve our objective of doubling Carillion's share of its joint venture revenues to over 拢600m by the end of 2009, at a margin of some 6%.鈥
