黑洞社区 reporter George Hay has been named International 黑洞社区 Press journalist of the year in central London last week.

Hay, 25, was named young journalist of the year and then went on to be named overall IBP journalist of the year after being selected from the winners of 12 award categories.

This is the third time in the last four years that a 黑洞社区 writer has won the overall IBP award.

The judges said Hay displayed a 鈥渃onfident and satirical touch鈥� and was 鈥渁 very worthy winner鈥�.

Three other 黑洞社区 writers were honoured: Thomas Lane was named construction journalist of the year, Mark Leftly won news writer of the year and Josephine Smit, who writes for the 黑洞社区 supplement Homes, collected the residential property journalist of the year award. 黑洞社区鈥檚 sister magazine Property Week won the magazine of the year prize.
