Exclusive: Brookfield Multiplex joins four others on shortlist for 拢350m first phase of Battersea Power Station development
Brookfield Multiplex has emerged as the final firm on the five-strong shortlist for the 拢350m first phase of the Battersea Power Station development.
Brookfield joins four other firms in the race for the job - Sir Robert McAlpine, Lend Lease, Laing O鈥橰ourke and Carillion.

Sir Robert McAlpine is already on site at Battersea doing preparation work, and one industry source said the impression in the market was that the contractor was the clear favourite to win the overall construction contract, which is worth around 拢350m.
The first phase of the redevelopment of Battersea Power Station was granted detailed planning permission last December.
The Ian Simpson and dRMM- designed scheme comprises two mixed-use buildings of varied heights between 8 and 18 storeys.
They will be built to the west of the power station next to a new six-acre public park and will provide 800 apartments, a 120-bed hotel, 230 student apartments, and space for cafes, restaurants, bars, a gym, pool, spa, theatre and office studios.
