Construction to begin later this month
Balfour Beatty has won a £90 million contract for the design and construction of a new educational facility for Fife College in Scotland.
The UK’s biggest contractor will be responsible for delivering the learning campus in Dunfermline, which will comprise of three interlinking buildings spanning more than 20,000 sq m.
Construction is scheduled to begin later this month, with Balfour Beatty promising to recruit half of the approximately 400-strong workforce from the local area.
Hector MacAulay, managing director of the firm’s Scottish business, said the new campus will bring together around 4,500 school pupils and college students from Fife College once complete.
