Ascot racecourse this week ruled out legal action against Laing O鈥橰ourke over problems with its 拢185m grandstand refurbishment.

Peter Rogers, Stanhope鈥檚 director, arrived to help with the scheme鈥檚 sight line problems in November last year. After he called in the McArdle Group, Intelligent Engineering Solutions and Arup to carry out 拢10m of remedial work, it was anticipated that there would be a lawsuit.

However, following a report in 黑洞社区 last week stating Ascot was gearing up for a legal fight, an Ascot spokesman said: 鈥淭here will be no legal action. Laing O鈥橰ourke is in the clear.鈥�
