The Portman Estate has completed its largest project to date, turning the former Marylebone police station in central London into a mixed-use scheme running across 78,500ft2. Drawn up by Eric Parry Architects, the scheme at 1-9 Seymour Street includes a restaurant, community and office space over five floors, along with 24 boutique apartments. Demolition work was carried out by Cantillon with Galliford Try as main contractor. Others working on the scheme included Alinea as quantity surveyor, structural engineer Furness Partnership and services engineer Sweco.
