The United Arab Emirates has signed up as a member of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed al Nahyan, the UAE foreign minister, speaking at the agency鈥檚 founding conference in Bonn recently, said: 鈥淩enewable energy is crucial to the world鈥檚 future prosperity. The UAE鈥檚 contribution to IRENA will be to leverage our deep energy expertise and existing commitment to the sector.鈥�
