Gardiner & Theobald has slid down this month鈥檚 ranking of project managers by ten slots. Meanwhile, rivals EC Harris and Capita have steadfastly maintained their positions

EC Harris With 拢413m of project management jobs under its belt for the year to date, EC Harris has been a strong performer recently in our exclusive rankings of PMs. The firm鈥檚 top contracts include a 拢335m commission to build a new bridge over the Mersey. The project for Halton Borough Council is to last five years. ECH is building up its retail operation with the recent recruitment of Jerry Young as senior retail consultant. He joins from project management consultancy Zebra Projects and has worked with Arcadia, Debenhams and Tesco.


Capita Symonds The firm has held on to 7th place, despite a slight slip in the value of its project management jobs, Capita Symonds now has 13 schemes worth 拢320, compared to 324m last month. Key current project management contracts include Twickenham stadium, where the 拢105m new stand is nearing completion but due to go slightly over budget. The scheme, which was granted planning consent on 1 December 2004, will increase the rugby venue鈥檚 capacity from 75,000 to 82,000. The QS on the scheme is Stace.

Gardiner & Theobald Having slipped from number 11 to 21 in the month鈥檚 project management league, Gardiner & Theobald has only 拢135m of PM work on its books for the year to date. This compares to 拢184m last month. But G&T has won some impressive commissions nonetheless. These include the 拢50m Leeds Met 鈥淩ose Bowl鈥 project, which is due to start on site in March 2007.
