Tony Bingham has been a long-time critic of the levy system so it was disappointing, but not surprising, that his recent article “Feeling a little short changed?” repeated the arguments against CITB-ConstructionSkills currently being used by the Federation of Plastering and Drywall Contractors
The fact is, when sectors of the industry engage in the development of qualifications and then commit to training and developing their workforce they automatically get a good deal from the levy. When they don’t train, they won’t because their opportunities to claim grant and get other added value services from us are limited.
There were numerous factual inaccuracies in the federation’s original article that were, unfortunately, replicated in ڶ. If readers want the facts about how levy money is really invested I invite you to check them out on our website www.cskills.org.
