Well done to Colin Harding for his comment piece (26 August, page 27).

Most employers in the construction industry will agree with what he said about HM Revenue & Customs鈥� intentions for the revised Construction Industry Scheme. Part of the blame for the Revenue not taking any notice lies in the fact that the industry鈥檚 negotiators are not builders. With or without the correct software in place, the revised scheme will not work. The Revenue must scrap its proposals now!
