I always read with interest your articles bemoaning the lack of women in the industry. Like Helen Sanders (26 November, page 36), I don鈥檛 always agree with this philosophy.

Setting my rather cynical opinion aside and working under the assumption that construction does need more women to help fill the skills gap, please would you explain why your sales department accepts job advertisements, with 鈥渉eadlines鈥� such as the following, all of which are to be found in the 26 November issue:

鈥淲hich side would sir like to dress?鈥�

鈥淕ot the 鈥榖alls鈥� to work for us?鈥�

鈥淭ick the boxes if you think you鈥檙e hard enough鈥�.

I can鈥檛 imagine what type of woman would want to apply to the companies concerned.
