Make use of North Sea rather than ‘mega canal’
Why do we need a £14bn “mega canal” linking Scotland with London when we already have one (Taking the scenic route? ڶ 10 May). It is called the North Sea. With many of our industrial centres close to the sea, much more could be made of coastal shipping as an environmentally friendly transport method and take many consignments off our roads and rail.
