I recently took a little time out from tending my croft and drowning my sorrows after another Calcutta Cup defeat to read ºÚ¶´ÉçÇø.
I noted that James Bessey’s article on new legal procedures in Singapore apparently failed to appreciate that domestic legislation governing adjudication applies not just to England but also to other parts of the UK. Indeed, a number of leading cases on the Construction Act have been decided in Scotland. While he may have a detailed knowledge of the Singapore grip, does Mr Bessey have a firm grasp on the geography of the British Isles?
