This system exceeds Part L requirements and lets high levels of light into buildings
Brett Martin Daylight Systems has introduced a modular glazing system, called Marlon Clikfix 1040, which is suitable for vertical and horizontal applications. The product is a 40mm thick polycarbonate multiwall panel that can be clipped together. The company said the panel offers a U value of 0.99W/m2K, which exceeds the requirements for glazing in Part L and also admits high levels of light into building interiors. The panels are available in 7m long, 500mm wide panels as standard with lengths up to 13m available to order. A range of special colours can also be specified. A range of installation accessories including thermally broken sills and channels, wall clips and rubber gaskets is also available.
