Jobs to run for next decade
The University of Birmingham has named the winners on a series of frameworks to support its 拢500m building programme over the next decade.
Head of procurement Jonathan Jones said: 鈥淲ith a planned additional infrastructure investment of 拢500 million over the next few years, we wanted to develop further procurement opportunities by creating our own university construction framework.鈥�
The new procurement frameworks will also be available to other higher education institutes.
Six frameworks have been created under the University of Birmingham Build Higher Construction Frameworks, which have been grouped into value bands for construction work.
Firms that have been appointed include Morgan Sindall, Willmott Dixon, which is building a new home for the university鈥檚 school of engineering, and Bam. Local firms on the list include Sutton Coldfield Construction and Murray and Willis.
Consultants to have work include Faithful and Gould, Hoare Lea and RLB.
Architect Glancy Nicholls, the practice behind Birmingham鈥檚 tallest tower, is also on the framework.
